Who better to help you break records than a track and field pro?
WHAT IS IT?
Mustang Elite’s Champion Team is made up of athletes ages 9-18 years old who are committed to reaching their full athletic potential by utilizing access to Oklahoma’s best track and field coaches. Our practices include personalized training and are incorporated in small event-specific groups starting at the beginning of April and lasting until June/July which are the months of the AAU championship circuits. For new track and field-specific athletes or athletes who do not know what event they want to do, we will have an “event test” at the beginning of the season to decide what best suits you. A typical practice includes a team warm-up and a fundamental workout. Then, our event groups complete a workout guided by our top-tier coaches with strength training to end each day.
May-July is our competition season. Last year we competed in six track meets, three being a part of the AAU championship circuit. Though we strive to dominate at the local, regional, and national levels, our core objective is to foster the personal development of each athlete. After the summer, we want each athlete to walk away with new personal records and a solid understanding of the fundamentals that drive long-term success, both in training and in everyday life.
